Cristina grew up in Maryland, but spent most of her summers visiting family in Ecuador. Born into a household already brimming with dental professionals, she found her passion for dentistry fueled by their expertise; she obtained her certificate in dental hygiene from Howard University in 2015 and followed decisively in her mother and older brother’s footsteps. Never straying too far from home, she now resides in Washington, DC, and joined the Modern Dentistry team in 2021.

Aside from dental hygiene, Cristina loves staying active by hiking gorgeous regional trails, traveling the world, and spending time with her two cats, Puma and Yana.
